A Year in Review

Today, I must reflect on the incredible journey of the past year, it’s both an honor and a privilege to share the story of Adsum Partners’ start, growth, and success. As the head of this firm, I am humbled by the trust placed in us by the diverse businesses and nonprofits we’ve had the pleasure of working with, as well as the talented consultants, contractors, and employees who have become an integral part of the Adsum Partners team.

One year ago on January 30th, this firm became “official” when I submitted IRS paperwork and got our EIN. And while nothing in our portfolio of services is new to me or my team, this date will forever mark our birth.

From the outset, the goal was clear: I wanted to bring my corporate and professional experience to small and midsize businesses and nonprofits. Having been asked by many to serve as their Head of Growth, I noticed a significant gap in market for our target client. They needed growth and strategy support, but they needed it in a fractional format. Little did I know that this goal would unfold into something far beyond my initial vision.

In the first quarter of ‘23, there was an influx of consulting clients. By March, it became clear that our clients needed more than just strategic advice—they needed hands-on support to do the work. This insight led to a natural expansion of our services to include a stronger focus on the tactical sales and marketing services we offer.

The past year has been nothing short of extraordinary. I am proud to share that, in 2023, on average, (from data provided by those who share these statistics) our for-profit clients experienced a remarkable 57% increase in revenue and our non-profit clients saw a 40% growth in membership (or service usage) and an impressive 20% rise in charitable donations! These numbers are a testament to the dedication and hard work of both our team and the clients we’ve had the privilege to serve.

But, while growth and increased revenue is the ultimate goal, it’s not just about these numbers; it’s also about the countless success stories we’ve witnessed. Increased website traffic, phone calls, clicks, subscribers, engagement metrics, client and employee retention, stronger and better cultures, and improved processes and efficiencies —these are the real indicators of the positive impact Adsum Partners has had on the organizations we’ve partnered with.

As I stand at the start of year 2, I’m not resting on our laurels. Instead, I’m looking ahead with a forward-thinking mindset. As a team, our focus is on how we can move from good to great, not just for ourselves, but for the clients who trust us with their growth journey. We’re exploring innovative ways to enhance our services, leveraging the latest trends and technologies to stay ahead of the curve. Some of these innovations may be months or years from launch, but I can’t wait to share what’s coming and see how our clients will benefit further from what we have to offer!

The success of Adsum Partners is a collective effort, and I extend my deepest gratitude to everyone who has been a part of this incredible journey. The road ahead is exciting, and we’re ready to embrace the challenges and opportunities that come our way in this year ahead.
